Course Description: An introductory survey course, sociology is the scientific study of society. Inquires into what holds societies together, what causes societies to change, and how social forces affect our daily lives. Topics covered include: culture and society, socialization, social research, groups, organizations, institutions, deviance, gender, race, and ethnicity. An emphasis is placed on cultural diversity. (45-0) Equivalent to SOCS-101, 80-110.
