Shooting Sports Club

The NIACC Shooting Sports Club will hold the first regular meeting of the spring semester Wednesday, January 21st at 2:30 p.m. in room 212 of the Activity Center. All current and prospective members are welcome.


The mission of the North Iowa Area Community College Trap and Skeet club is to create and nurture a safe environment for shooters of all levels to learn and excel in various shooting sports both competitively and non-competitively. The club will focus on the education of firearm safety and usage in regard to trap, skeet, and sporting clays. This club is open to all students, staff, and faculty of North Iowa Area Community College.

Club Meeting are on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 2:45 p.m. MH 024

Practice days will be Wednesdays at 3:30 pm at Ventura Gun Club, Ventura, IA

How to Join

This club is open to all faculty, staff, and students on NIACC campus. To join the NIACC Shooting Sports Club (NSSC), either attend one of the monthly meetings, weekly practices, or contact the club faculty advisor. A non-member may practice with the club once for a free trial. After that, membership is required. The cost of membership will be either $50 per semester or $75 per year. This money will be used for memberships to local ranges, the Scholastic Clay Target Program, and operational costs.
