No Limits – WIA Youth Program

No Limits is a Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Program, which provides opportunities for assistance in both academic and occupational learning through many services.

Eligibility

To be eligible for assistance through the program you must meet the following requirements:

  • Age 14-21
  • Considered Low Income
  • Citizen or National of the U.S.
  • If male and 18 years old you must be registered with the selective service

AND, experiencing a roadblock which could prevent you from reaching your goals. Such as:

  • Pregnant or Parenting
  • Basic Skills Deficient (Below 9th Grade)
  • Homeless, Runaway or Foster Child
  • High School Dropout
  • Attending Alternative School
  • Have been treated for drug or alcohol abuse
  • Member of a minority
  • Have a disability (mental, physical, or learning)
  • Have experienced troubles in juvenile court or with the law
  • Have a parent who is laid off
  • Less than 1 year work experience

Financial assistance is dependent on eligibility and funding availability

No Limits can provide individualized services through many kinds of support, including but not limited to:

  • Assistance for completion of high school or alternative school
  • Assistance for completion of GED requirements
  • Work Experience
  • Assistance with college
  • Tutoring
  • Leadership Activities
  • Financial assistance, such as:
    • Bonus for goal completion
    • Transportation
    • Child care
    • Uniforms
    • College tuition

The No Limits WIA Youth Program serves residents of the following counties:
Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Mitchell, Winnebago, & Worth.
