Career counseling assists students with the development of their
individual career goals. Discovering a satisfying career takes
careful thought and planning. At NIACC, our Career Exploration
Counselor can offer you a battery of assessments to help you understand
your interests, personality and values. With this important
self-knowledge, you can make a thoughtful decision about your education
at NIACC and your career future.
Students can make an appointment with Ann Beasley, NIACC Career
Counselor, by calling 641-422-4207 or 1-888-GO NIACC, ext. 4207 or stop
by the Student Access Center in the Administration Building, AB106.
In career counseling various assessments may be used to help students
learn about their interests, personality preferences, values, and
aptitudes and how they relate to their choice of college major and
future career direction. Be sure to take advantage of Career
Counseling as early as possible to allow you to efficiently complete
your education at NIACC. The danger in postponing career planning
is that you may take unnecessary courses or find yourself on the wrong
career path.
All counseling is confidential.
