Transition Workshop:
Transitioning from High School to College
Date: Monday, April 23, 2012 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
Location: North Iowa Area Community College, Muse Norris Conference Center
Sponsored by NIACC & AEA 267
This workshop, sponsored by NIACC and AEA 267, is designed for high school students with disabilities who plan to attend college, along with parents, counselors, teachers and administrators who work with students with disabilities.
During the Transition Workshop participants will:
- Obtain practical knowledge of disability rights and responsibilities in higher education.
- Learn how assistive technology can aid in accessing and managing material at school & work.
- Hear from college students with disabilities at NIACC
