Student E-Mail Accounts

Every student at NIACC registered for credit courses automatically has both a NIACC computer lab account to access the lab computers, and an email account. You can access your e-mail from anywhere, as long as you have access to the Internet and a Web Browser (such as Netscape or Internet Explorer) To set up your accounts please stop in the Open Computer Lab in McAllister Hall 110 (MH110). The lab supervisor will give you information on accessing your account, have you sign the Technology Use Contract., and help you get started. If you are an off-campus student or only taking online courses you still have a NIACC email account. Contact Brian Charlton by phone to set up your account. 1-888-GO NIACC ext 4113.

"What's my email address?"

Your e-mail address is assigned when your account is set up. It may look something like JBSMITH2@niacc.edu.

From NIACC's web homepage at www.niacc.edu you can click the Student E-Mail link in the navigation row at the bottom of the page.

If the logon information is correct, your mailbox summary appears.

To send a message click on Compose

To view email messages click on Main to view the main mailbox. All new mail will be in this mail box. (This example shows that there are two unready messages)  To read mail in the current mailbox click Check Mail. Then click on a message.
