NIACC Connects
NIACC Connects was designed to allow
students safe and secure access to their network drive on their person
computer while on the NIACC Campus. This program requires one of
the following Anti-Virus software installed and working.

Username:
- First letter of your first name
- First letter of your middle name
- Entire last name
(John Dow Smith -> jdsmith)
Password:
- First letter of your fist name Capitalized
- First letter of your last name Lowercase
- Two $ signs
- Last for of your social security number
(Js$$1234)
Save Password:
This option will save your username and password for future
logins
Automatic Logon:
This option will automatically sign you in with the saved
username and password
Extra Plug-in Functions (Ctrl+P)
This allows extra functions to NIACC Connects, Simply double click on
the function you wish to use.
To access hold the Control (Ctrl) key
and press the P key (Ctrl+P)
Sync Plug-in
This allows syncing between your Home (H) directory and your computer.
WARNING: This will over-write files without prompting if you
use settings other than default
Copy and replace - *USE WITH CAUTION*
This will replace existing files
Don't copy
This will not copy new files if already exists
Copy and keep old
This will create a copy and rename the file if already exists
Save settings
Saves settings for automatic sync and for recalling previous
settings
Sync on connection - *USE WITH CAUTION*
Syncs on last saved settings when you connect to your home (H)
drive
Sync on disconnect - *USE WITH CAUTION*
Syncs right before your home (H) drive is disconnected
Only sync updated files
Only syncs files with newer modification dates
Documents on computer
Folder on your computer to sync to/from
Documents on student drive
Home (H) drive to sync to/from
Computer -> Student Drive
Syncs files from your computer to your home (H) directory
Student Drive -> Computer
Syncs files from your home (H) directory to your computer
