NIACC Password Security Policy

Any new password must meet the following minimum requirements and are 'enforced' when passwords are changed or created:

1. Not contain all or part of the user's account name
2. Be at least eight characters in length
3. Contain characters from at least three of the following four categories (level of complexity):
   1. English uppercase characters (A through Z) 
   2. English lowercase characters (a through z)
   3. Base 10 numeric characters (0 through 9)
   4. Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #)

For example, BadDog would not be valid - not enough characters and is not complex enough.  BadDog12 would be appropriate; enough characters and complex enough (upper case letters, lower case letters, and numeric characters.
