Library

The NIACC Library, which is located in Beem Center across the hall from the Student Learning Center and Writer’s Workbench Lab, houses over 90,000 volumes of books, government publications and a variety of non-book media items, including microforms, filmstrips, videotapes, films, cassettes and kits. Subscriptions include nine national newspapers, 33 NIAD area newspapers and 370 periodicals with ten-year holdings of most titles. Along with in-house materials, the Library also participates in an inter-library loan system. The Library is open to the students, faculty and staff of NIACC, its partner institutions and residents of the North Iowa Area. A NIACC ID or Borrower Card is necessary to check out materials. Also housed in the Library is the Cafe Bean.
