Presenter: Mike Schoville is the President of The Business Brokers, Inc. (TBBI) located in Grimes, IA. TBBI assists motivated business owners without a succession plan to quietly and confidentially market their business to qualified buyers. Prior to that, Mike was the CEO of a publicly traded manufacturing company. Preceding that position, Mike retired from a Fortune 100 company. Mike has a BBA from the University of Iowa and an MBA from St. Ambrose University.
Forty percent (40%) of the privately owned businesses are projected to change hands in the next 5 years. Many of these business owners are baby boomers looking to retire. Some business owners have succession plans in place, but many do not. That means that there will be a significant opportunity for those entrepreneurs interested in owning and operating their own business. This workshop will discuss the processes, concerns and issues in acquiring a business.
Entrepreneurs’ Exchanges are scheduled periodically. For the full schedule, visit us online at www.niacc.edu. Click on the Pappajohn Center logo at the bottom of the home page.
