Job Responsibilities: Legend Seeds, as “Your Regional Seed Leader,” serves a seven-state footprint area, who employs 105 team members and has eight different site locations, is moving at a fast pace to be the #1 seed choice for every acre in our footprint. Therefore, Legend Seeds has committed to secure an experienced, energetic, and motivated Legend Account Manager to join our growing sales team to develop, maintain, and grow relationships with our dealers. The Legend Account Manager is responsible for the marketing, selling, and brand awareness of Legend products in the assigned trade area. This position will be part of a geographical team and will be responsible to its team members to ensure growth and sales success. The Legend Account Manager position carries the expectation to maximize the sales of Legend Seeds profitably and to exceed minimum sales expectations as measured in Corn Equivalent (CE). The Legend Account Manager is responsible for assuring accurate and timely dealer service to include settlements, return of seed, and a positive Legend relationship with the Dealers. This position will promote the three pillars of Legend: GROWTH, PROFITABILITY, and CULTURE.

What will your day be like?
o Develop and execute Territory Strategic Business Plan
o Develop and maintain dealer and direct relationships
o Dealer Business Planning
Leverage business acumen to prioritize tactics, resources, and infrastructure
o Dealer Recruitment through prospect selling activities
o Account Customer Service
o Budget Management
Agronomic & Industry Knowledge Education
o Utilizing Research and Agronomy team to provide dealers/directs with value and knowledge of
Products, Performance, Placement, and Agronomic Knowledge
o Partner with legend Sales Agronomist in development of an annual Crop Plan
o Brand Awareness
o Sales Program Execution and Training
o Ability to leverage various styles of communication effectively
o Influence and collaborate to the Legend Story to and through our dealers
o Effectively interact with all the Legend staff, promoting a positive attitude with a growth mindset
o Utilize efficient inventory management and product distribution processes within the team
o Partner with the Legend Accounts Specialist (LAS) for successful auditable execution of business account administration (order to settlement)
Ensure that company assets are well-cared for and properly maintained
Ensure team performs job-related tasks in a safe manner
Best Candidate will have:
• Associate degree in Agriculture, Business, Precision Ag, or related field
• 5+ years of working knowledge in the agriculture industry with an emphasis on sales
• Proven record in Leadership and Relationship Management
• Results-Oriented with Communication & Presentations Proficiency
• Valid Driver’s License
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Computer skills including Microsoft Productivity Suite
This job operates in a remote office environment located at Legend Seeds footprint area in Northcentral Iowa. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some standing and lifting is required. This would require bending and the ability to lift to 50 pounds as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, typical hours of work and days are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Occasional earlier start times, evening and /or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
• 30% travel is expected for this position
