Job Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Revenue Cycle’s primary responsibility is to plan, organize and administer the hospital’s Business office and HIM Services. Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in credit and collections functions, analyzing, compiling, coding, indexing and filing permanent medical records; reimbursement and coverage issue guidelines, assists medical staff as requested; prepared periodic and statistical reports and provides information to authorized person; and personnel engaged in the hospital registration process. Recommends policies and methods to assure that the most accurate and efficient systems are used. Represents the hospital in court cases involving subpoena of medical records, appearing with the patient’s chart in a court case.

Reports to: CFO; CEO for Compliance matters
Supervises: Business office, OP Reception/Registration Staff, HIM staff in Hospital and Clinics
Key Working Relationships: CFO, Administration, Medical Staff, HIM, ancillary, nursing, business office, and clinic staff, Managers and Directors, Business Office Staff, OP Reception Staff and staff from other departments and facilities.
Primary Customer Groups: RHSHC Employees, patients and families, Physicians/Providers, patients and co-workers
Age of Patients Served: All ages.
