Job Responsibilities: Department: Nursing (Med Surg/ER/OTC)

Qualifications: Must have a current RN licensure in the state of Iowa, BLS required, ACLS required, previous emergency room experience preferred, Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred, PALS & TNCC preferred or willing to obtain

Pay Rate: Based on Experience (hours worked will be paid at 1 ½)

RN’s who are designated by the nursing leader as the ER Nurse will be paid an additional $2.00/hour differential for all hours worked in the ER Department.

FTE Status: 0.6 FTE (Working 48 hours but paid for 72 hours in a 2-week pay period)

Shifts: 12-hour weekend (Saturday & Sunday) (6:45pm-7:15am), required to work holidays that fall on the weekend schedule.

This position reports to the Director of Acute Care Services and accepts responsibility and accountability for the delivery of care through the use of the nursing process ensuring safe, quality, and continuity of care is maintained. Directs and guides patient teaching and ancillary personnel to include exercising independent judgment in directing the work of others. Cares for all types of patients on assigned unit, while maintaining professional nursing standards. Performs select respiratory care procedures including oxygen therapy and breathing treatments.
