Concurrent Enrollment is an exciting educational opportunity that will prepare you for a successful career. Concurrent Enrollment provides credits to meet your high school graduation requirements, as well as requirements for two- and four-year degrees. All tuition and textbook fees are paid through an agreement between your local high school and North Iowa Area Community College.
Tuition
There is no cost to the student except for transportation, and in some programs, tools.
Textbooks
There is no cost to the student unless the textbook is not returned.
NIACC Link Scholarship
Taking NIACC classes while in high school may qualify you for scholarship money when you attend NIACC after graduation… with no application needed. The Link Scholarship is awarded to students who have taken at least six NIACC credits and have maintained a 3.25 NIACC GPA while in high school, and attend NIACC upon high school graduation.
Head Start on College
Concurrent Enrollment allows you to get a head start on your college education. When you graduate from high school you will also have completed college courses…FREE of charge. After high school graduation, you may continue your college career at NIACC and complete your Associate Degree. Many students then go on to complete a four-year degree.
