    • AA Degree meets the General Education Requirements for the College of Liberal Arts at most transfer institutions.
    • Check with transfer institution for Foreign Language Requirement.
    • Admission requirements vary from institution to institution. Contact the transfer institution or check with a NIACC counselor/advisor for assistance.
    • Suggested schedule dependent on entry level of student.

* – Appropriate math level needed before enrolling in any math class. See NIACC catalog for list of General Education courses.
** – ART-134 Drawing II, ART-123 3-D Design, and Painting I/II are spring only.
** – ART-127 Digital Illustration and ART-116 Graphic Design II are fall only and should be taken the same semester.
*** – Teaching programs such as at University of  Northern Iowa prefer transfer students to be in an art major class schedule. With a UNI transfer, classes needed to teach will be in junior/senior UNI class schedules.

Articulation agreements with Grand View University to transfer into the Art Education program require Drawing I & II, 2D, 3D, and   Art for Elementary Teachers.

Articulation agreements with Upper Iowa University (Fayette catalogue) to transfer into the Art Education program require Art History I & II, Drawing I, Painting I, Ceramics, 2D, 3D,  and  Graphic Design I.
