a – Appropriate math level needed before enrolling in any math class. If you are planning in majoring in speech Pathology, Business Communication, or a politically-based speech major, you will need to take a research based mathematics that may include the following: MAT-156 (Intro to Statistics), MAT-161 (Business Statistics), MAT-140 (Finite Math), or MAT-165 (Calculus).
b – If transferring to ISU, consider courses from U.S. Diversity/International Perspectives.
c – If transferring to the University of Iowa, consider courses from the General Education lists of International & Global Issues; Literary, Visual, and Performing Arts; and Values, Society, and Diversity.
d – If transferring to UNI, consider HIS-254, American Indian History or HIS-260, Latin American History and Culture  (Non-Western Culture requirement).
