World Geography
Course Description:
The National Geographic Society has produced a text of riveting photography, detailed maps, and compelling questions to help students see the impact of geography on life across the world. The regional approach focuses on places and cultures, not endless facts and figures.
Objective:
The student will complete eleven units in the textbook, Glencoe World Geography, all written exercises in the student workbook, and pass eleven unit tests with at least 60% accuracy. Retests are required on failed tests. Scores from failed tests will be averaged with the retest score.

Course Description:
This course provides information concerning ancient history to 1993,
including the Industrial Revolution and the Age of Imperialism.
Objective:
The student will complete Book One and Two of World History for a Global Age. Following each chapter the student will write out and hand in the answers to the worksheet exercises. Upon completion of the chapter exercises from each unit, the student will take the unit exam. Sixty percent accuracy is required on all eight unit exams with retests required for failed tests. Retest score will be averaged with original exam score.

Economics
Course Descriptions:
This text provides a comprehensive story of economics as it relates to a student’s world. Topics include supply and demand, prices, scarcity, micro and macroeconomics, international trade in developing/developed countries, monetary and fiscal policies, and consumer issues.

The student will read Economics in Our Times by Roger A. Arnold. He/she will write out and hand in answers to the “Learning Check” questions which appear at the end of each section within a chapter. Also, student will write answers to questions in “Build Your Economics Vocabulary” and “Review Questions” at the end of each chapter. Sixty percent accuracy is required to pass. Retests are required on tests failed. Score from failed test will be averaged with retest score.
