As we celebrate National Transfer Student Week, NIACC students are prepped for success after transferring – NIACC students who transferred to a four-year institution went on to earn an average GPA of 3.24 in their first term, with 88% returning for the next year.
And the success doesn’t stop there! NIACC students have a higher graduation rate after transferring than other Iowa community college transfer students.
NIACC ranks first in the state with a 72% overall average for university graduation rate trends within four years after transferring to a Regent University [2024 Community College Transfer Report, Iowa Department of Education].
On Wednesday we hosted a Transfer Fair to give students the opportunity to explore their next steps.
NIACC students met with representatives from four-year colleges and universities to learn more about programs, admissions and the transfer process.
