NIACC student Faith Etheredge from Nora Springs has earned national recognition for her artwork “Nala,” which was selected for publication in the 31st edition of Nota Bene, Phi Theta Kappa’s literary and visual arts honors anthology. Her piece was chosen from more than 3,200 entries submitted by PTK members nationwide, and she received a $500 Visual Arts Award Scholarship as part of the honor.

Faith shared that being recognized for something so meaningful to her is both exciting and encouraging as she continues pursuing her education and artistic goals. NIACC PTK Faculty Advisor Lori Quinlan noted that Faith’s involvement in PTK opened doors to scholarships and competitions like this one, making the achievement even more special.
As a Nota Bene honoree, Faith will also be invited to present her work at PTK Catalyst 2026 and be recognized during the Parade of Scholars at the national event.
NIACC is proud to celebrate Faith’s accomplishment and the continued success of its PTK chapter.
