Class Required Readings

Instructors often place books or other materials “on reserve” as readings or viewings as a part of the course. They are shelved behind the library desk, or your instructor may indicate they are linked here. These materials kept behind the desk check out for a shorter period of time, determined by the instructor, usually one week, two hours, or overnight. Some “closed reserve” materials may be restricted to in-library use only, and must be returned before you leave the library. Reserve items may not be renewed, but if we have a duplicate copy in our regular collection, it may be checked out if available, when you return your reserve copy. Ask the library staff for about reserve readings by giving the staff your instructor name, and the author and title of the reserve item, if you know it.
