Activity Center

Located in the heart of campus, the Student Activity Center is filled with fun, food, and familiar faces! Grab lunch with friends, pick up textbooks, meet with Student Senate, or find a quiet corner to study—all under one roof. You’ll find the cafeteria/food court and NIACC BookZone on the first floor; upstairs you’ll find study nooks and hangout areas, as well as campus offices that keep things humming. It’s central, social, and built for student life.

Auditorium & Gallery

From Broadway‑caliber touring acts to student concerts, the North Iowa Community Auditorium brings big‑stage energy right to campus. Students can often score $10 Student Rush tickets (with NIACC ID, 10 minutes before showtime, subject to availability). Between events, wander the Auditorium Gallery for rotating exhibitions by local and national artists—an easy culture fix between classes.

Fitness Center

Whether you’re lifting, logging miles, or squeezing in a quick ride, the Fitness Center has you covered: free weights, machine weights, treadmills, stair climbers, exercise bikes, and more. It’s located on the lower level of the Muse‑Norris Conference Center and connected to the Recreation Center—super convenient before or after class. Available to NIACC students, faculty, and staff.

Recreation Center

Meet your go‑to hub for intramurals, workouts, and rainy‑day practices. The NIACC Recreation Center spans two levels (41,156 sq. ft.) and packs in a suspended track, multiple courts, a wrestling room, batting cages, and a golf range, plus locker rooms and classroom spaces. It’s used for student recreation, intramurals, faculty/staff wellness, summer youth camps, and team practices—so there’s always activity inside.

The Recreation Center Summer Hours are:

Monday – Friday 6:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday & Sunday Closed

*Summer hours will start on May 1st.

Gymnasium

Game day lives here. Cheer on NIACC volleyball and men’s & women’s basketball in a classic gym with a wooden parquet floor and room for about 2,000 fans. Beyond Trojan athletics, the gym hosts campus traditions—think youth camps, job fairs, and big community events.
