Taking NIACC classes while you’re still in high school can do more than give you a head start – it can also qualify you for the Future Forward Scholarship, worth up to $1,500 when you attend NIACC after graduation.

How it works
- Take NIACC classes in high school (Concurrent Enrollment)
- Meet the eligibility guidelines
- If eligible, your scholarship is automatically awarded – no separate scholarship application required.
Who it’s for
The Future Forward Scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible Area II students attending NIACC full-time after graduation.
Guidelines
You may qualify if you:
- Attend an Area II high school and will attend NIACC full-time
- Complete 6 or more NIACC credits while in high school
- Have a 3.0 cumulative NIACC GPA (reviewed end of fall semester of senior year; spring isn’t included)
Timing & important details
- Scholarship is awarded in the spring semester of senior year
- Applies to the fall and spring semesters immediately after high school graduation
- Scholarship funds are available until funds are expended and amounts may vary
- Does not apply to AP courses or high school articulation courses
- No scholarship application required
