Course requirements for various transfer institutions can be very different for the athletic training major.

E.g.: BIO-202 is needed @ University of Iowa;  MAT-121,-128,-140 or -210 needed @ ISU. PHY-162 College Physics I level is needed @ ISU.

    • AA Degree meets the General Education Requirements for the College of Liberal Arts at most transfer institutions. An AS Degree may be sufficient for this major — confirm appropriateness with your transfer institution.
    • Check with transfer institution for Foreign Language & Diversity Requirements.
    • Admission requirements vary from institution to institution. This major is generally a competitive admission program that requires an separate application, a minimum gpa, and prerequisites for selective admission.
    • Suggested schedule dependent on entry level of student.
    • Some transfer institutions recommend transfer after 1 year. If a student chooses to transfer after Freshman year, he/she will need to decide which classes are preferred to complete at NIACC.
    • Clinical experience is an essential requirement of this major. Check with your transfer institution for information on “allowable” clinical sites and experience.
