Job Responsibilities: The Gilded Groomer is hiring a Grooming Assistant / Groomer in Training to join our growing luxury grooming salon in Mason City, Iowa.

This is an entry-level position with hands-on training provided for the right candidate. We are looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and genuinely interested in learning the grooming industry long-term.

Daily responsibilities include:

– Bathing and drying dogs
– Brush-outs and deshedding preparation
– Nail trims and basic prep work
– Cleaning and salon maintenance
– Assisting groomers throughout the day
– Client interaction and front desk support when needed
– Taking clear pet notes and photos
– Participating in salon social media content

This is a physically demanding position. Applicants should be comfortable standing for long periods, handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments, and working in a fast-paced environment.
