Job Overview:
The Newscast Producer is responsible for planning, writing, and executing live television newscasts. This role requires sound editorial
judgment, strong writing skills, and the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines and during breaking news.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with the Executive Producer to plan and produce daily newscasts in accordance with newsroom standards, determining
story selection, format, length, and rundown order.
Write, edit, and update scripts as needed, including contingency planning for developing stories.
Ensure all newscast elements are complete and accurate prior to airtime, including scripts, graphics, video, timing, and rundowns;
maintain accurate information in newsroom systems.
Communicate breaking news, live shots, and special situations promptly to appropriate staff.
Produce digital content by writing and posting stories for the website and social media platforms; shoot and edit video as needed.
Work collaboratively with reporters, anchors, photographers, assignment desk staff, and production teams to coordinate coverage and
communicate updates throughout the shift.
Manage live newscast execution from the control room, clearly communicating real-time changes to production staff and on-air talent.
Respond effectively to breaking news and unexpected changes, ensuring stories are clear, accurate, engaging, and visually supported.
Complete post-newscast administrative tasks, including technical reports and archiving.
Participate in editorial and planning meetings, contributing daily story ideas and maintaining awareness of local, national, and global
news.
Maintain a regular schedule and provide coverage in other newsroom roles as needed. This includes holidays and weekend.
Qualifications:
Prior experience producing a local television newscast preferred
Excellent writing, grammar, and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively while taking leadership when appropriate
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent experience
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
Microbiology Lab Technician
The Microbiology Laboratory Technician will assist with tests performed in the laboratory and in production. In this role, you will ensure all testing is performed in accordance with standards, laboratory procedures and established company guidelines.
Sample set up including preparation of culture media, decontamination of wastes and performing monthly environmental tests in the laboratory and in production.
Performs microbiological testing as per scope and miscellaneous tests as assigned by Laboratory Supervisor.
Identify nonconformities, potential nonconformities and laboratory process improvements on a continuous basis and report results to customers.
Maintain the laboratory environment and supplies including inventory of reagents, monitoring and maintenance of equipment, rotation of media stocks and disposal of retain samples.
Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
Knowledge of lab procedures and techniques.
Knowledge of microbiology, preparation of culture media, laboratory equipment and basic laboratory techniques.
Minimum of four years of related work experience
Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, lab or food science.
Knowledge of ISO 17025 or Quality Management Systems.

Preferred: CFC Certification – Type I & Type II: (Minimum) as defined by EPA. Ammonia Operator 1 Certification preferred. Experience running boilers, refrigeration, compressed air, and/or waste water systems. Electrical experience, 240V and below.

1. Operates sophisticated standalone and automated test equipment and testing systems to set up, align and test all types of complex electrical components, equipment, and systems.
2. Accepts conforming products and rejects nonconforming products.
3. Troubleshoots electrical components, equipment and systems to determine cause of nonconformance to specifications.
4. Build needed test fixtures and cable harnesses as part of specialized test equipment setups.
5. Perform maintenance and calibration of test and measurement equipment using standard calibration procedures.
6. Perform simple programing of PLCs and data acquisition and recording equipment.
7. Maintains related test and repair documentation and records required test data.
8. May be required to perform additional duties as directed, to support the engineering and production areas.
