We offer a variety of opportunities for employers to reach NIACC students and alumni. Whether you want to hire a full-time or part-time employee, a student intern or establish an apprenticeship opportunity, we can connect you with well-trained individuals.
NIACC has a job posting section of our website that students and alumni may use for finding employment, summer/seasonal jobs, and internship opportunities. Please use one of the following links to request a job or internship be posted.
An apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where individuals can obtain paid work experience, classroom instruction and a nationally recognized credential. Sponsored apprenticeship programs are a proven system for training employees plus building and maintaining a highly-skilled workforce.
Contact Melinda McGregor, Director of Emerging Workforce Solutions (641.422.4302 or firstname.lastname@example.org) to learn more about existing Iowa Department of Labor approved apprenticeship programs or if your business is interested in partnering to create an apprenticeship program to train your workforce.
Other ideas for connecting with NIACC students about employment opportunities:
- Host a recruitment table in NIACC’s Activity Center
- Interview potential candidates on campus
- Hold an informational session on campus in one of our “smart classrooms” which provide internet access and digital projector for PowerPoint presentations
- Participate in announced job/career fairs or similar events
For questions and/or to be connected with a NIACC team member that can assist with one of the above Employer Services, please call Melinda McGregor, Director of Emerging Workforce Solutions, at 641-422-4302.
