Subscribe to Password Self-Service and get more control over your MyNIACC account. After subscribing, you can change or reset your password anytime and anywhere! Even if your account is locked, login to Password Self-Service and unlock it from your personal device, even off campus!

Subscribe to Password Self-Service

  1.  Go to the NIACC home page (www.niacc.edu) and click on Quick Links in the top right corner or go to mypassword.niacc.edu and continue to step 3.

  2. Choose Password Self-Service under NIACC Tools.

  3. From the Password Self-Service home page, “Sign In” using your NIACC username and password.  A welcome pop-up will appear. Press “Click here”.

  4. On the Update Security Questions screen, you are required to answer two standard security questions.*  After completing this step click the Enroll button.*If you have misplaced the answers to your security questions you will not be able to reset your password. Contact the Help Desk at 866-614-5020 where a representative will assist you.

  5. After you have subscribed, remember to sign out when you are done.  You are now ready to use the system to reset your password.

Change Password

If you wish to change your password, Login with your current NIACC username and password.  You will be asked to enter your current password, and your new password twice (to confirm accuracy).  The College’s standard rule for password complexity applies*.  Click “Okay”.  Your password has been changed. Don’t forget to sign out when you are done.*If you have misplaced the answers to your security questions you will not be able to reset your password. Contact the Help Desk at 866-614-5020 where a representative will assist you

Reset Password

  • If you have forgotten your password, Login and choose the “Reset Password” link on the Password Self-Service home page.

  • Enter your NIACC username. Click “Continue”.

  • You will be asked to answer the two security questions you answered during the Password Self-Service enrollment process.

  • When your responses have been confirmed, you will be asked to enter your new password twice.  The College’s standard rule for password complexity applies. See “Change Password” for complexity requirements. Remember to sign out when you are done.

Unlock Your Account

  1.  If you have locked your account due to entering your password incorrectly three times or more, Login and choose the “Unlock Account” link on the Password Self-Service home page.

  2. Enter your NIACC Username. Click “Continue”.

  3.  You will be asked to answer the two security questions you answered during the Password Self-Service enrollment process.

  4. When your responses have been confirmed, you will be provided the opportunity to click a button to “Unlock Account”. Close the tab when you are done.

Forgot Security Questions

If you have enrolled but do not recall the responses to your security questions, contact the NIACC Help Desk at 1-866-614-5020.  They will “unenroll” your account allowing you to re-enroll in Password Self-Service.
