0.3 FTE (24 hours in a 2 week pay period)
Shifts: 24-hour shifts. 12 on duty, 12 on call. Call pay is $12/hr. Sunday-Saturday rotating days, weekends, and holidays.
Mitchell County EMS is a Paramedic transport service owned by MCRHC, a Level 4 critical access hospital in Osage, Iowa. We provide 911 ALS coverage to all of Mitchell County including Paramedic intercepts. Paramedics must be able to function independently, critically think, and multi-task at all times. You will be working with an EMT most times and need the ability to lead care in a competent manner consistent with national standards of ALS care.
This position reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and functions to support the policies and procedures of the Emergency Services Department and the Mitchell County Regional Health Center. This position may require staffing of Paramedic ERV (Emergency Response Vehicle) and responding to calls immediately and managing patients independently. Must be familiar with and stay current with national EMS standards of best care practice and treatment. This position also helps with patient care in the Critical Access Emergency Department.
