Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician

Job Responsibilities: The CMT will perform field testing and inspections of concrete and soil for various construction projects we are working on. It is preferred, but not required, candidate would have some experience in a construction setting, and American Concrete Institute (ACI) certifications for field concrete testing. Our CMT work is requested by clients on an as-needed basis, and we often travel to multiple job-sites within a day to complete testing tasks. CMT work hours are variable with seasons, weather and workload. Typically during construction season, a CMT can expect to work 40+ hours. A CMT will receive two weeks of on-the-job training, and will be required to work alone, with direction from the branch manager on assignments to be completed within the day. A company vehicle will be provided for the CMT to complete work tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record, including no major driving violations (DUI, texting while driving, etc…) within the last 5 years and dependable transportation.
Candidate should have the ability to follow direction and work with others.
Flexibility in availability (Ability to cover jobs in the early AM as well as late afternoon as needed) is also required.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis
Be comfortable working in a wide variety of environments, including adverse weather
